Thank You, Claudia Frye

DCA, BWI, and IAD Flight Attendants,

After an incredible 55-year career as a Flight Attendant with US Airways and American Airlines, Claudia Frye has made the decision to step away from her volunteer role as an APFA Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Professional Standards Representative.

Although Claudia is not retiring from the airline and will continue doing what she loves—flying—she has decided that the time is right to pass the torch after decades of supporting, mentoring, and advocating for her fellow Flight Attendants.

On behalf of the DCA base, we extend our sincere gratitude to Claudia for her extraordinary compassion, unwavering dedication, and countless hours of service. Throughout the years, she has been a trusted confidant, mentor, and source of strength for Flight Attendants during some of their most difficult moments. Her selfless commitment to supporting others has made a lasting impact on our profession, strengthened our union, and touched the lives of countless Flight Attendants. Her legacy of kindness, service, and advocacy will continue to inspire those who have had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.

Thank you, Claudia, for your extraordinary service and the legacy of care, kindness, and professionalism you leave behind. We wish you continued happiness, good health, and many more years of safe and enjoyable flying.

In Solidarity,

John Pennel
