InfoRep Update:
Last week I failed to mention APFA President Laura Glading’s trip to Wall Street on Friday September 19. Her visit came the day after representatives from American Airlines had been there to pitch their projections for the company. Labor rarely makes a trip to Wall Street. APFA was very well received and the meetings provided for a healthy exchange of information and perceptions.
Negotiations Update:
This past week your Negotiating TeamÃs subcommittees on Scheduling and Compensation met with the company to continue our discussions. The Compensation Committees discussed APFAÃs position regarding On Board Sales. It is APFAÃs position that the company not be allowed to unilaterally implement any additional On Board Sales requirements during section six bargaining.
The Scheduling Committees were slated to meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The company provided answers to some of the questions from last weekÃs discussions and as a result, it was a somewhat productive week. In addition, some of the information requested was provided thus, giving your Negotiating Team an opportunity to move forward in next weekÃs discussions.
Talks are scheduled to resume on Tuesday September 30.
