NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and the short business week, there were no meetings scheduled with the company. Although the teams did not meet at the table this week, your APFA Negotiating Team sub committees met internally to begin preparing proposals for Article 7-Hours of Service, 8-Minimun Pay and Credit, 9-Scheduling, Article 30-General and Article 31-Union Security.

As we mentioned in last weekís hotline, meetings with the company are scheduled to commence on December 2.

DID YOU KNOW?

Stewardesses received no pay for deadheading until the 1957 Agreement. At that time, a Stewardess only received deadhead pay if the deadhead caused them to have more than 85 monthly hours. The pay for those hours above 85 was $2.00 per hour, prorated to the nearest 1/10th of an hour.
