Once again, the company is attempting to negotiate directly with the membership. Flight Service has sent yet another "’Let’s Talk’ Flight Attendant Negotiations" e-mail via JetMail.

As before, we ask that you click ‘Reply’ and in the body of the e-mail type ‘My Negotiating Team Speaks for Me’ and click ‘Send’.

Any future negotiations related correspondence from the company should be marked ‘Return to Sender’ and ‘My Negotiating Team Speaks for Me’ and placed back in the mail.

The following are couple of rumors that need addressing:

Threshold Flying

It has been brought to our attention that the "Threshold Flying" rumor has reared its ugly head once again. If we’re not mistaken, this is the third time it has come around. Please understand this…threshold flying to maintain employment is NOT, we repeat NOT, under discussion. Your Negotiating Team heard you loud and clear at the road shows.

National Mediation Board and the Obama Administration

There is also a rumor circulating that the Obama administration will not be releasing anybody into a cooling off period due to the economic situation. To date, your APFA Negotiating Team has not been told any such thing.

Your Negotiating Team appreciates those of you who take the time to pass on rumors that you hear in an effort to get the facts. As we head into our two week negotiations "lockdown" on January 11th, it is imperative that you stay informed and armed with the facts.
