Hello PHL,Our monthly allocations call took place on Monday, March 3rd. On the same day, we welcomed 39 new hire Flight Attendants! It’s refreshing to see new hire FAs in PHL again. Their first day of flying is today, March 6th. If you see them on the line, please give them a warm welcome to PHL! 😊 We will continue to welcome new hire FAs every Monday throughout March.
RESERVES
The number of projected Reserves is down from 430 in March to 402 in April. The systemwide average is projected to be 18.1%. PHL is projected to be at 16.0%, down from 17.5% in March.
STAFFING
April’s monthly line average is projected to be 78.0 hours, down from 80.6 hours in March. Systemwide, the line average is projected to be 77.3 hours, down from 78.7 in March. The average number of sequence starts per day for PHL will be 274: Sequence starts = (# of sequences) x (# of positions/ sequence). Think of ‘sequence starts per day’ as the number of Flight Attendants needed to report each day for all trips depart that day. Systemwide, this average will be 3,271 sequence starts per day.
There will be 46 VLOAs offered for April.
SEQUENCE STATISTICS
ODANs
ODAN flying increased. BOS, PIT, CHS, RDU, PVD, PWM, and CMH are available to bid.
IPD
April has 13 IPD destinations available to bid. The second LHR flight is back. Destinations are: DOH, LHR (early), LHR (late), DUB, ZRH, AMS, BCN, VCE, MAD, FCO, CDG, and LIS, which has a positioning DH on April 3rd.
DOMESTIC WIDEBODY FLYING
There is no domestic widebody flying for the month of April.
PIT SATELLITE
PIT satellite flying increased to 4,804 hours from 4,714 hours in March.
GENERAL REMINDERS
- Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts for most of the U.S. on Sunday, March 9, at 2:00 AMÂ local time.
- Quarterly training must be completed by Monday, March 17 at 23:59 (CT) to avoid a Missed Assignment (MA).
- Easter is Sunday, April 20th.
- Secondary Vacation bids for the 2025/2026 vacation year are now open and close Monday, March 10Â at 12:00 CT.
- If you commute, please read the commuter policy (section 37.I) Remember to screenshot the Priority List once you check in for your commuter flight.
- Boarding Pay begins April 1, 2025. The calculator is on www.apfa.org
- A PHL Virtual Base Meeting scheduled for May. Details will be available before the May bidding window opens.
- Every month the PBS Cover Sheet  is included in the bid packets found on the Crew Planning page via Crew Portal. The cover sheet contains answers to many frequently asked questions, such as:
