Hello PHL,Our monthly allocations call was held on Thursday, April 3. To date, we have welcomed 156 New Hire FAs to PHL! We are scheduled to welcome 75 more in April and an additional 137 in May! If you see them on the line, please give them a warm PHL welcome 😊 53 New Hire FAs will be active in PBS and 84 will not.

RESERVES

The projected Reserve % is down from 17.4 in May of last year, to 17.1 this year. The systemwide average is projected to be 20.0%. PBS is projected to open with 455 FAs on Reserve. This number may vary based on bidding practices.

STAFFING

There will be no Voluntary Leaves of Absence (VLOAs) offered for May.

SEQUENCE STATISTICS

ODANs

ODAN flying increased. PWM, RDU, BDL, PVD, PIT, and CMH are available to bid

IPDMay has 16 IPD destinations available to bid. This includes the 2^nd LHR flight. Destinations are: DOH, LHR (early), LHR (late), DUB, ZRH, AMS, BCN, VCE, MAD, FCO, CDG, EDI, MXP, NCE, NAP, ATH and LIS. EDI has a positioning DH on 21MAY, NCE has an extended RON of 48 hrs on 16MAY, and NAP has an extended RON of 48 hrs on 05MAY.

DOMESTIC WIDEBODY FLYING

There will be some domestic widebody flying. Some sequences will be a mix of narrowbody and widebody aircraft. Some sequences offer positions 1-4 other sequences offer positions 5-8. This is a shift from our normal widebody domestic flying. Remember to select your sequences carefully when bidding.

PIT SATELLITE

PIT satellite flying increased to 4,812 hours from 4,804 hours in April.

GENERAL REMINDERS

• Quarterly training must be completed by Monday, June 2 at 23:59 (CT) to avoid a Missed Assignment (MA).
• Schedule change on May 6.
• If you commute, please read the commuter policy (CBA Section 37.I) Remember to screenshot the Priority List once you check in for your commuter flight.
• Boarding Pay began on April 1. Boarding Pay Calculator
• New Boarding Times for domestic flying begins May 1, 2025
• Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11
•  Memorial Day in Monday, May 26
• Every month the PBS Cover Sheet  is included in the bid packets found on the Crew Planning page via Crew Portal. The cover sheet contains answers to many frequently asked questions, such as:
  • Phone numbers
  • Charts for duty and layover requirements
  • Bidding timelines
  • Links to the PBS guide and other pertinent information.
    The cover sheet can be accessed via Crew Portal > Departments > Crew Planning > PBS Cover Sheet. A good practice to start is saving a copy of this to your device or EFB every month.
