Worldwide Flight Attendant Day of Action: Tuesday, February 13, 2024

As you may have seen, we are back at Logan Airport for our February Picketing Event. Many thanks to APFA National President Julie Hedrick and AFA International President Sara Nelson who were instrumental in getting us back on airport property. They met with the MA Governor’s Office & Massport on November 30, 2023. As a direct result of this meeting, United Flight Attendants represented by AFA were approved for their December 16th Picketing Event and now our Worldwide Day of Action.

This moment is not about what uniform we wear but what unites us. Our unity transcends airlines. Our time on the job must be compensated. We have earned long-term security and benefits. We need flexibility and control of our lives. Legacy sexism that traditionally devalued our jobs must be stamped out and replaced with the actual value of our work. Like every other worker worldwide, we need to go to work to live, not just live to work. We are ready to do whatever it takes to achieve the landmark contracts that reflect the profits our work creates. Together, 100,000 Flight Attendants are pushing our careers forward this year — battling corporate greed.

Join us at Logan Airport on Tuesday, February 13 from 1100 am until 1 pm or at more than 30 airports across the system.

For more information, read the latest hotline here. Come out and show your support. RSVP here!

APFA Notification System for Critical Incidents

Last week, APFA rolled out a new notification system for critical incidents. It is American Airlines responsibility to provide proper support to Flight Attendants when experiencing a critical incident and communicating with APFA. Management has fallen short on this responsibility, which is what has led to APFA implementing a notification system so that the appropriate APFA Departments are notified when a member experiences a critical incident while on duty. Click Here for the full details on the new system.

Please keep in mind that this does not replace company procedures. It is an additional resource to ensure you receive support and help.
