Chicago, WE DID IT! We showed UP in full force! CEOs of the largest airlines in the world could not miss the message that we are ALL ready! American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest, Frontier, Alaska, we stand united with our union brothers and sisters from APFA, TWU and AFA. Flight Attendants showed up en masse in over 30 airports worldwide!

Securing the contract we deserve is not something we can do on our own. Collectively we will push forward for a better quality of life for ALL Flight Attendants. This effort is driven by everyone joining together and today we showed what we can achieve when we come together!

A special thank you to our US Congressional Representatives who kicked off our monumental picket. Jan Schakowsky IL-09 and Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García IL-04 spoke passionately about the struggles we are experiencing with this company; they are true advocates! Stacy Davis Gates, the president of Chicago Teachers Union (CTU), Don Villar the secretary-treasurer of Chicago Federation of Labor (CFL), APFA ORD Base President Dray Howard, TWU Local 556 2nd Vice President Corliss King, AFA Council 8 Chicago president Scott Pejas all spoke to the plight of Flight Attendants.

In attendance lending support included: Illinois State Senator Ram Villivalam 8th District, Illinois state rep. Matt Hanson 83rd District, Illinois State Senator Mike Simmons 7th district.

Federally and locally, we are supported by our elected officials! It showed! Thank you!
