CHICAGO BASE TRAINING 

May 2, 2024, 10am – 12pm, 1230pm – 2:30pm, 3pm – 5pm. We will host 3 training sessions focusing on scheduling. Each session will allow plenty of time for Q&A. Join us at O’Hare, West Conference Room, Mezzanine Level. No need to go through security.

The Labor Notes Conference will be April 19 – April 21st. It is a fantastic national conference that takes place every two years in Rosemont. Even though the event is sold out, please join us the evening of April 20, 2024, at 7pm, for an APFA mixer. It will be a wonderful time to meet people from other unions across the country.

Without the credible threat of a strike, management across our industry is perfectly happy to prolong negotiations for years and delay paying for the improvements we have earned.

Using the links below, tell your Representatives in Congress to sign on to a letter that urges the National Mediation Board (NMB) to utilize all provisions of the Railway Labor Act, including “self-help” and workers’ right to strike at the end of a 30-day cooling-off-period. A Base Grievance was filed today. Where do we begin? There are so many issues. We highlighted the lack of transparency with us seeing our accumulated Purser hours in real time, the programming errors in calculating our hours and the 150-hour threshold. We will keep you updated.
