Boston Flight Attendants,

We have heard your understandable frustrations regarding the recent announcement to return to increased service levels with no change to staffing. Unfortunately, this notification to the Flight Attendants came with no forewarning or discussions with APFA. Understand that we are equally frustrated to have seen our company attest in front of an arbitrator that our service levels have been reduced and there is no need for a return to staffing levels, simply to turn around and return to those same service offerings immediately after.

We know that BOS Flight Attendants care deeply about the services that we provide our passengers, that is evidenced by our remarkable customer satisfaction ratings. It is not increased service that we are frustrated with, but the deceit and apathy we receive from those who intend to support us. As referenced in the recent hotline from your APFA Board of Directors, there will be a meeting between the Board and our VP of Inflight, Bobbi Wells, in Dallas next week, and we will share our common frustrations systemwide. It is imperative that in the meantime Flight Attendants assist us in putting pressure on the people responsible for these changes.

Please reach out to them and share your concerns about how these services will be completed, the impact less staffing has on customer satisfaction, and the lack of proper catering to even complete the services expected of us.
