Hello Miami,

I have appointed Alba Toledo as the Interim APFA MIA Base Vice President effective June 1, 2025. Alba is a current MIA Base Council Representative (BCR) helping in the day-to-day operations. She was also very instrumental with the Contract ACTION Team (CAT) and our picket leader for many years in MIA. I would like to thank Alba for stepping into the role while an election is held.

PBS Preliminary Manning Plan – July 2025

The available headcount for July is 3529. This is a decrease of 8 heads YOY, but up 11 from June. The line average will be 82.4 hours at PBS opening.

Reserve Projections

We are projected to have 790 Reserves for July, which represents 22.4% of the base. Our Reserve numbers are .02% higher than June, and the same as July 2024.

The reserve seniority date for June at the start of PBS was 14OCT21. For July the most senior reserve date will be seniority 26MAR18 with a system seniority number of 19083.

Class 25-14 will report to base and begin flying on 24 June. This is the last training class scheduled for this year. American previously announced they were pausing hiring for the summer. As more information becomes available, we will let you know.

Flying Summary

EZE will operate daily on the 787-8. GIG will operate daily on the 777-200. GRU will operate two daily flights with a Rocket on the 787-8, and a 38-hour layover on the 777-300. LHR will operate two daily flights, both on the 777-300. BCN will operate daily on the 787-8, and MAD operates on the 777-200. FCO will operate daily on the 777-200.

For NIPD, the CUN turn will continue to operate on the 777-200.

For domestic, a LAX turn on the 787-8 will operate daily. There is a PHL turn on the 787 with a 4.30 hour sit time that is scheduled for a day room hotel, and a CLT turn split 737/777-200, positions 1-4.

July Incentive Point / Critical Period
July 1 – July 7

During the July Critical Period, which is from July 1 to July 7, if you complete all operational assignments (sequences, airport standby assignments, Reserve Availability Periods (RAPs), and special assignments) without any absences or removals (such as Sick, FMLA, Jury Duty, Military, Personal, Bereavement, etc.), including pre-planned absences and removals, you will earn one (1) incentive point. These incentive points will help reduce future point-generating dependability events.

You may earn up to three (3) incentive points per year. Incentive points are unlimited and do not expire. Probationary Flight Attendants may accrue incentive points during their probationary period, but those points will only be applied to absences incurred after the probationary period.

If you receive a chargeable occurrence during the critical period, such as SK, TM, etc., you will be charged an additional point. No single occurrence will be charged more than three points.
