8.18.25 – APFA DFW Base Brief – Investigatory Meeting Letters

Investigatory Meeting Letters
Monday, August 18, 2025
DFW Flight Attendants,
We understand that the letters sent to Flight Attendants regarding investigatory meetings are often worded in ways that create unnecessary stress and anxiety. The tone and language used do not always reflect a fair or neutral process. We recently met with DFW management to address this issue and have requested immediate changes to ensure these communications are respectful and appropriate.
If management continues to issue letters that contribute to a hostile or intimidating environment, we are prepared to file a DFW Base Notice of Dispute (NOD) to formally challenge this practice.
We would like to remind all DFW Flight Attendants that if you are scheduled for an investigatory meeting on one of your days off and are unavailable due to a prior commitment, you have the right to request a different meeting date. Your days off are personal time and should be respected. Unless there is a mutual agreement between you and a manager, you should not be required to attend a meeting on your day off.
If you are contacted to report on a scheduled day off, you may inform your CPM or CAM that you are unavailable because you are off duty. Management does not have the right to require your presence on your day off unless there is mutual agreement.
DFW, we hear you! We understand the stress this situation is causing, and we advocate for you every day.
