November 2025 ORD Staffing and Allocations

November allocations are vastly different than the summer peak. It is the first full month of the winter schedule we can expect to see through the end of the year.

Allocations
In November, there are no widebody domestic sequences – this is not for a lack of trying from the allocations department, there are no domestic widebody flights that traverse through Chicago to create a sequence. Hopefully in future months, there will be domestic flights that can be used to create sequences during allocations.

ODANs are down from previous months– 5.4 daily departures for November. ODANs are like Red Eye sequences– they are created when the bank schedules support their creation. Unfortunately, November didn’t support more ODANs like we have seen in previous months.

Staffing

ORD has a reserve percentage of 16.2% for November vs the system average of 15.0%.

There will be 2,250 lineholders in November.

• 1-day: 22% in November vs 27% in October.
• 2-day: 29% in November vs 22% in October.
• 3-day: 45% in November vs 48% in October.
• 4-day: 3% in November vs 3% in October.
• ODAN Starts per day: 5.4 in November vs 17.0 in October.

9% of flying is widebody.
