Happy Fall Y’all!

Reserve numbers hit their lowest percentage in 5 years!! 15.1% at DFW—only 0.1% deviation from the system-wide average! In a season of Thanksgiving, we give thanks for this relief, even if temporary—we will see what the next few months bring as we near the high-travel holidays that tend to drive reserve numbers up again. December and January are traditionally higher reserve months—please keep that in mind when making plans and weighing your options. Also be mindful of the critical period if you want to earn incentive points and review the dates for holiday pay to maximize your earning potential. We would love to continue to see reserve numbers trend downward as our absenteeism improves. Keep up the good work!

November schedule changes drove several adjustments to pairing patterns, so please pay close attention to some longer IPD layovers due to non-daily flying. We also see an increase in flying to the Sun Belt, ski destinations, and South America. Wide-body domestic will also continue into the winter.

We know that the holiday season can be very joyful for some and yet lonely for others, so please remember you are not alone. Some of our best holiday memories can be made with our FA family on layovers—let’s look out for each other and remember to be thankful for every good thing in our lives.

Important Dates:

• November Contractual Month runs from November 1^st – December 1^st(31 days).
• There are two schedule change shifts in November: first on the 2^nd and another on the 20^th. DFW will operate eight banks on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for most of the month (with exceptions right before and during the week of Thanksgiving).

With summer season in the rearview mirror, we settle fully into the fall season. System-wide reserve held steady at 16.5% with DFW also holding at 17.1%. The company opened up unpaid VLOAs again for a projected 176 Flight Attendants at DFW. The line average is anticipated to be near 76.6 hours, same as August.
