Yesterday, APFA Base Representatives participated in the monthly call with the Company regarding staffing levels, allocations, and operational planning for the upcoming month. During this call, Union leadership and Company representatives reviewed current staffing numbers, discussed projected operational needs, and evaluated how these factors will impact Flight Attendants across the system and within our base. These discussions are an important part of ensuring transparency and keeping Flight Attendants informed about changes that may affect schedules, Reserve assignments, and overall base staffing levels.

As always, APFA continues to advocate for the interests of Flight Attendants while working to ensure that any staffing adjustments are clearly communicated and understood. The information shared during these calls helps guide planning for the upcoming bid month and provides insight into the operational outlook for the base.

• One (1) Month On/ Three (3) Months off Reserve Rotation: 1162
• One (1) Month On/ One (1) Month off Reserve Rotation: 202
• Straight Reserve (One (1) Year): 0
• Straight Reserve (Two (2) Years): 45

Senior Bump to Reserve Duty – (CBA 12.A.3.c.)

Please remember that if you decide to switch from Lineholder to Reserve while the LRD tool is open from the 3rd to the 7th, you will not meet your Reserve rotation requirements if you have more than three (3) days of vacation. You will still be subject to Reserve duty in the following months.

VLOAs for April 2026

Under the 2024 CBA Section 25.B, Voluntary Leaves of Absence (VLOA) are available at all bases for the April 2026 bid month. For PHX, a total of 12unpaid VLOAs are being offered.

The bidding window will close on Saturday, March 7 at 1200 (CT). All requests must be submitted before the deadline in order to be considered.

To submit a bid, please access the ballot through Comply365 by navigating to:
My Forms → AAFA → FA Voluntary Leave of Absence (VLOA).

Flight Attendants who are awarded a VLOA will be notified through a CCI message after the awards are processed.

Mandatory Meeting Representation

If the Crew Attendance Manager or your Crew Manager schedules a mandatory meeting, please set up the meeting and call 800-595-1471, ext. 4, for APFA PHX Representation.
