Me@Work: What Flight Attendants Should Know

Inflight has announced the launch of Me@Work, a new feature in MyFlight intended to provide Flight Attendants with a personalized snapshot of operational and customer-service related metrics. While the company states this tool is for informational and developmental purposes only, Flight Attendants should remain open and attentive to how this technology evolves and how it may affect our work environment over time.

Now more than ever, it is critical that Flight Attendants consistently submit CERS, ASAP reports, and any other documentation to notify management of operational issues or concerns experienced on the job. Accurate reporting ensures the realities of our operation are properly captured, and, just as importantly, proactive reporting can be considered before any meetings are scheduled for information that has already been documented.

The LGA Base Council is actively working to stay fully informed as Me@Work develops, ensuring we can provide members with effective support and strong advocacy in any investigations where we represent you.

As a reminder, APFA remains your representative in all matters involving attendance, performance, or any conversations with any member of management, which includes New Hires on probation. We continue to have the right to dispute any attendance, performance, or disciplinary issue, including anything that may arise from or reflect on our record as a Flight Attendant, regardless how that information is obtained.

New York APFA looks forward to continued discussions with management to address both positive and constructive feedback on Me@Work and to ensure it develops in a way that is fair, transparent, and meaningful for our members. We remain committed to collaborating whenever that work directly improves the quality of work life for the Flight Attendants we represent.

CQ 2026/2027: Important Changes—Please Prepare Carefully

I want to get right to the point and not sugarcoat this: this year’s CQ training standards are stricter, and there is significantly less room for error if a drill is unsuccessful. Regardless of seniority or experience, any Flight Attendant can have an off day, and under the current standards, a single unsatisfactory performance may now carry more serious consequences than many are used to.

What You Need to Know:

  • Review the “What to Expect” guide before CQ.
Find it on: faportal.aa.com > Departments > Training > What to Expect > “CQ: April 2026 and Beyond.” Pay special attention to Sections 5, 6, and 7.
  • Do not rely on experience alone.
Even seasoned Flight Attendants should review drills, procedures, and CQ rules in advance.
  • If you are not well, do not attend CQ sick.
If you are not fit to fly, you are not fit for training. Calling out and rescheduling is far better than risking unsatisfactory results while unwell.
  • Speak up if you are struggling.
If stress, illness, or outside circumstances are affecting you during CQ, ask for help immediately. Training managers are there to assist.
  • Support one another.
If you see a fellow Flight Attendant struggling, reach out. Looking out for each other matters in training just as much as on the line.

Preparation and awareness are more important than ever. Questions/Concerns: [email protected]
