5.04.26 – APFA MIA Base Brief – June 2026 Staffing and Allocations

June 2026 Staffing and Allocations
Monday, May 4, 2026
Hello Fellow Miami Flight Attendants,
Summer is around the corner—and with it comes operational stress, irregular operations, and the reality of being pushed to the limit.
Now is the time to prepare. Take the time to fully understand your legalities, contractual protections, and IROPS procedures.
As demand surges, we are already seeing the impact:
- Increased flying across the system
- Higher PBS line averages
- Greater reliance on Reserves
- More aggressive rescheduling practices
We earned this Contract through our collective strength, and we must continue to hold the Company accountable to the language we fought for.
- Know your legalities
- Question anything that doesn’t look right
- Document and report violations
Miami Base Reps can be reached by text or call at 954.890.2732, or email at [email protected]. Please utilize these contacts for the fastest response to an issue. The central contact allows us to send your question or concern to the first available representative.

Month in Review – Your MIA Base Reps at Work

Inflight Quarterly Training 2Q2026
This quarterly training must be completed by Wednesday, July 1 at 23:59 (CT) to avoid a Missed Assignment (MA).
MIA Bid Sheet Survey Results
The Miami APFA Base Brief Survey concluded on April 30. Thank you to all who participated. Please stay tuned as we analyze the results and report back to you. Also, we will be detailing our next steps as we share these results to management. In the meanwhile, please continue to fill out the Bid Sheet Feedback Form.
Professional Standards and EAP
Professional Standards and EAP calls now go through the hotline at 833-214-2002.
Please use Professional Standards for issues that can’t be resolved on the airplane. Keep it out of the office.
If you need to speak with Professional Standards mid-sequence to keep a situation from escalating, please call. If a dispute arises mid-sequence that cannot be resolved and a crew member removes themselves from the trip, Inflight becomes involved and an investigation ensues. This is what we always hope to avoid.
In Solidarity,
Nick, Alba, and Your APFA MIA Base Representatives
