5.31.26 – International Flight Attendant Appreciation Day 2026

Sunday, May 31, 2026
Today is International Flight Attendant Appreciation Day, and today is all about you.
Every time you report for duty, you bring professionalism, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Whether you’re responding to a medical emergency, handling an unexpected operational challenge, or simply helping a passenger through a difficult day, your work makes a difference. You are aviation’s first responders, and the role you play on every flight is invaluable.
This day was established in 2015 through the efforts of a Canadian Union advocating for Flight Attendants and has since become an opportunity to recognize the important work Flight Attendants perform around the world. While passengers often see the service you provide, they may not always see the extensive training, preparation, and responsibility that come with wearing the wings.
Today, we celebrate you—your professionalism, resilience, and dedication. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the challenges you navigate, and the care you show every day. Most importantly, thank you for keeping our passengers, our crews, and each other safe.
