Holiday Incentive Pay Disputes
Over the past several months, many Flight Attendants have patiently awaited answers regarding their Holiday Incentive Pay disputes. Unfortunately, the Company has denied a substantial number of these claims based on an interpretation of the language that was neither clearly communicated to employees nor explicitly outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. While APFA continues to pursue these cases through the dispute resolution process, I want every member in New York to know that this issue has not been forgotten. We remain committed to challenging decisions that impact compensation Flight Attendants reasonably expected to receive.
This issue extends beyond the individual claims themselves. Holiday flying relies on Flight Attendants stepping up during some of the busiest and most demanding periods of the year. When employees make personal sacrifices to support the operation and meet the Company’s needs, they should have confidence that the incentives offered will be applied fairly and honored as intended.
New York Flight Attendants deserve fairness, transparency, and accountability. We will continue to advocate aggressively on your behalf and hold the Company accountable whenever contractual interpretations negatively affect our members. Our commitment to this fight remains unwavering.
Trust is earned through actions—not words.
In Unity,
Christian M. Santana
