Dear APFA:
To our members and others…I feel the monies should
a) be poured back into the company or
b) partially back into the company (say 50%) and then shared(the other 50%) equally with ALL or
c) shared equally with ALL—that means from the most junior (say one day of employment) 6years, whatever all the way to the top…seniority and placement in the company should not matter–so if you are the EVP/CEO to the bathroom cleaners, to the mechanics, to the pilots to the flt/att's — one day or 50 years with American Airlines— EQUALLY. Divide the total dollar amount by the number of employees and write the checks.
Several or most of us, took massive pay cuts, sacrificed and yet worked professionally and safely all of these years. As we were told, we would SHARE. Where is the sharing now?
Perhaps our Board of Directors and top executives should come and fly with us(say on Easter or Christmas or in a snow storm) and see our working conditions, our hours, and our efforts and dedication before ever writing bonus checks to anyone or leaving anyone out of the mix.
Fly safely,
Gloria S.
