RE A.
It is with great sadness that I write this letter. The top echelon group who will be reaping the benefits and are forfeiting an opportunity of a life time by accepting these bonuses. The company has tried in the past to get us on their good graces this is a perfect time to win so many of union as well as non union employees over by sharing in the sacrifice. Instead they are choosing the road of watching and creating a group of very upset and dissatisfied Flight Attendants and other work groups. A year from now they will be asking themselves was it all worth it? They are quick to say that these large bonuses were already negotiated into their contract, well we negotiated our contract and away it went to turn this whole mess around. A mess that had nothing to do with the worker ant rather upper management and we as employees did not and have not held them accountable for what took place.
What we did do is once again accepted the fact that we would help as we have done in the past. It is this simple, who should get paid? well if the 800 and something group takes a day off all of them the same day how much would the company lose? Well not much. I have yet to see a flight cancelled because a VIP did not show up for work, we probably wouldn't even miss them. This company will run and very well at that. Now you take only the F/A work group and give them one day off everyone at the same time, well I think we get the picture.
