Effective Friday, December 1, 2017, American Airlines Workers’ Compensation administrator, Sedgwick, will be rolling out an IOD/injury concierge program. California will be the launch state. It will be an added service that is intended to reach out to injured employees within the first few hours of their injury being reported. Their goal is to accomplish this within the first 4-6 hours of the report.
The service will provide the injured employee with helpful contacts, explain the overall IOD process, and answer any questions the employee may have regarding their IOD. Sedgwick also intends to offer follow up calls after 2 weeks to employees who remain out on IOD. The hours will be Monday-Friday 0730 – 1600 PST.
