APFA President’s Statement Regarding Today’s Flight Disruptions
Euless, TX (Jan. 25, 2019)—“Today’s flight disruptions which started at LGA will only get worse if the government workers are not put back to work and paid immediately. We reemphasize that the President and Congress should compromise and get the government up and running again. They can debate border security once the government is running.
Our Flight Attendants continue to do absolutely the best job they can under these increasingly challenging circumstances. Our flight crews and our passengers deserve the highest form of safety and security from our government. The people of the United States deserve better.”—Lori Bassani, Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) representing the 27,000+ American Airlines Flight Attendants.
