As we enter the 23rd day of the shutdown, now the second-longest in U.S. history, 13,000 air traffic controllers and 50,000 Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers are working without pay.

Congress and the White House have failed to fund the government, and as of today the federal government is now shut down. Flight Attendants work in a highly-regulated industry that depends on government workers being able to perform their job duties.
