1.14.25 – COVID-19 Attendance and Leave Policies Update

COVID-19 Attendance
and Leave Policies Update
Tuesday, January 14, 2025
Starting tomorrow, January 15, 2025, the Company is returning to its pre-pandemic attendance. This update affects the process for requesting Medical Leaves of Absence (MLOA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leaves.
Effective Wednesday, January 15, 2025:
- Requests for MLOA or FMLA leave related to COVID-19 will now be evaluated using the same criteria as requests for other viral illnesses, such as the flu.
- A positive COVID-19 test alone will no longer be adequate documentation for a leave request unless otherwise specified by state or local law. Instead, you will be required to submit a completed Health Care Provider Certification form by creating a case in AbsenceTracker.
- Leaves should be applied for through the Absence and Return Center (ARC).
- Attendance points will no longer be adjusted for COVID-19-related absences, unless the absence qualifies for MLOA or FMLA or is otherwise covered by applicable state or local paid sick leave laws.
