Contract Implementation Update #13

Carryover Clicks
CBA 12.L.4

Starting with Reserve sequences that carryover from the January contractual month into the February month, clicks will now apply to the month in which a Reserve flies. This provision will allow Flight Attendants serving back-to-back Reserve months to receive Clicks for any ROTA or ROTD awards and assignments that transition between months.

Examples:

While this provision originally was targeted for DOS + 6 months, we are pleased to have most of the 12.L provisions implemented early. The remaining provision, 12.L.2 for adjusting Clicks to reflect actual trip length, is on track for no later than the April bid month.

Reserve Rotation
CBA 12.A.3.b

Hiring for 2025 is in full effect and with that Section 12.A.3.b will be implemented for all incoming New Hires starting this year. This was the only item on the implementation timeline listed as “within the duration of the contract” and we are able to implement this item for all New Hires hired under the CBA.

For Flight Attendants hired in 2025 and beyond under the CBA, the rotation is as follows if a Flight Attendants seniority warrants Reserve:

• First two (2) years straight reserve;
• If needed, years 3 through 5, one month on/one month off rotation;
• If needed, years 6 and beyond, one month on/three months off.

There is no change to rotation for any Flight Attendant hired prior to 2025 under our previous JCBA.

Vacancy Transfers
CBA 22

While this information has been shared for those putting in for Vacancy Transfers, we wanted to make sure to highlight some changes from JCBA to CBA.

What has changed with Vacancy Transfers?

To be eligible for a Vacancy Transfer, a Flight Attendant may now be active on the date of the award OR the effective date of the transfer to be eligible. This check is performed only on the date of transfer award. (CBA 22.D.2)

A vacancy transfer award will no longer be rescinded due to non-flying status. Once a vacancy transfer is granted, it will be retained regardless of a change to inactive status (CBA 22.D.4).

Vacancy awards now have a required posting date of the 27th of the month. (CBA 22.A.7)

Profit Sharing and 401(k) Reminder

As we prepare to receive Profit Sharing checks, we wanted to remind you that this pay out is eligible for 401(k) contribution and match (CBA 3.R.5). Be sure to log on to Fidelity to verify your Special Elections match for this pay. To receive the full 4% match, you must contribute at least 4%. There is no action required to receive the 5% company contribution.

Retiree Health Reimbursement Account (RHRA)

Q. If a Flight Attendant has submitted their notice of Retirement with the 4-month notification for the RHRA and then decides to delay their retirement by a period of time that is less than 4 months, would the previous notice still count for the RHRA notification?

A. If a flight attendant wants to defer their retirement they will need to rescind and resubmit with the new date and that date must provide the required contractual 4 month notification.
