Contract Implementation Update #14
Standby Reserve Duty Limitations
CBA 11.G
We are pleased to announce the early implementation of CBA section 11.G on February 20th, 2025. This provision had a targeted date of DOS + 6 months (April 2025). This improves Reserve quality of life when receiving an assignment while on Standby.
With the implementation of 11.G, a Reserve serving Standby duty will now be assigned a sequence subject to the 11.F Duty Limitations Re-Scheduled / On-Duty Max based on their Standby report time.
Example:
A PHL Flight Attendant is serving Standby from 0430 to 1030 HBT. At 0600, they are assigned a sequence with a 0615 report time. Their maximum scheduled/rescheduled duty day is as follows:

In today’s world, a Flight Attendant would refer to the chart in 11.E to calculate their duty limitations, and that limitation is based on the sequence report time received on Standby. Based on a 0615 sequence report, maximum scheduled/rescheduled duty day when assigned would be 13:15.
On February 20th, 2025 when the new language is implemented, a Flight Attendant would refer to the chart in 11.F  to calculate their duty limitations, and that duty limitation will now be based on the Standby report time. Based on a 0430 Standby report, maximum scheduled/rescheduled duty day when assigned is 11:15.
Going forward, when on Standby, you will now know your maximum scheduled domestic duty day based off the 11.F chart instead of it being dependent on the sequence you are assigned.
