Contract Implementation Update #15
Boarding Times
CBA 11.M
The company has provided notice to APFA and our membership that effective May 1st, 2025, they are exercising the option provided in 11.M of the CBA to increase domestic boarding times by five (5) minutes.
Boarding pay begins on April 1st, 2025, so this increase in boarding time will increase our boarding pay on domestic flights.
Beginning May 1st, 2025, the boarding times will be as follows:
Return from Leave of Absence
CBA 10.D.17
CBA 10.D.17 was adjusted to provide clear timelines to a Flight Attendant when returning to work from a leave of absence to know what to expect when bidding for the next month. This language was implemented with a manual process on February 1st, 2025 and should be automated for March and beyond.
If a Flight Attendant provides their return to work paperwork by 1200 DFW time on the 10th of the month, they will be activated to bid in PBS and eligible for an award for the next month.
If a Flight Attendant provides their return to work paperwork after 1200 DFW time on the 10th of the month, they will not be activated to bid in PBS and will receive an open line or, if seniority and rotation warrant, a Reserve schedule for the next month. If you are projected to be on Reserve, Crew Planning will send an email with instructions on how to indicate days off preferences.
If a Flight Attendant is not current with qualifications, they will need to attend training to update their qualifications prior to being able to bid or use the bidding and trading systems.
In addition, while 10.D.17.a sets a new timeline for being eligible to use the LRD, the company will follow their current process. If a FA has submitted paperwork by 0700 DFW time on the 3rd when the final LRD data is pulled, they will be able to use the LRD.
Profit Sharing
CBA 3.R
Our profit sharing payouts are visible in the Pay Portal via Jetnet.
The new formula for calculation was ratified in our 2024 CBA and effective on Date of Signing (October 1st, 2024) causing a split formula to be used to calculate our profit sharing amounts for 2024. Going forward, this formula will be used for the entire year and the Flight Attendant payout percentage will mirror that of other workgroups.
