5.01.25 – Contract Implementation Update #24: Vacation Pay and Credit/ April Reserve Updates

Vacation Pay and Credit (CBA Section 8.B.)

The 2025-2026 vacation year begins tomorrow, May 2nd. In accordance with CBA Section 8.B.1., there is a change in how vacation hours are paid:

• Flight Attendants with a block of seven (7) or more consecutive vacation days will be paid and credited at four (4) hours. (No change from the JCBA)
• For Flight Attendants with a block of fewer than seven (7) consecutive vacation days, they will be paid four (4) hours for each day but credited three and a half (3.5) hours per day. (New for 2025-2026 vacation year)

When your vacation is shorter than a seven-day block, PBS and your HI1 will reflect three hours and thirty minutes (3.30) for each vacation day.

If you are on Reserve, this additional thirty (30) minutes per vacation day will be paid above guarantee. For a Lineholder, since the time is uncredited, it will not affect your TTS credit window or max. The additional 30 minutes of pay no credit for each of your vacation days will be added at close out for the month, usually around the 8th of the next month.

April Reserve Updates

With the April contractual month, CBA Section 12.L. is now fully implemented. This section brought improvements to how ASG “clicks” are applied to Reserves, including:

• ASG clicks for all awards and assignments from ROTA and ROTD. (Implemented early October, 2024)
• ASG clicks now apply in the month in which the Reserve flew for carryover trips. (Implemented early January, 2025)
• If a Reserve’s sequence(s) has more or less days than originally scheduled, they may request their ASG clicks to be adjusted. (New for April, 2025)

Until the ECS (Electronic Communication System) is updated with an option to request the ASG clicks adjustment, there is a Comply365 form available to use. A Reserve can find this form in Comply365 > My Forms > AAFA > ASG Clicks Request.
