2025 Dues Increase: Your Priorities

The 2025 Dues Survey is now open and may be accessed here. Through in-person conversations, emails, and feedback received via the 2024 Dues Restructure Call Center, your Base and National Leadership have gathered valuable input on what matters most to you as we prepare for a dues increase vote.

Top priorities communicated to your Base and National Leadership include:

  • One-time increase: We’ve heard you– you prefer a single dues increase—not one automatically tied to future contractual wage increases.

  • Contractual gains: You wanted boarding pay, sit rig, and compensation for hotel delays implemented before any dues increase takes effect.

  • Collecting unpaid dues: You emphasized the importance of collecting unpaid dues from Members in dues arrears before implementing a dues increase. Since September 2022, we’ve collected $2.7 million in back dues, and the number of Members in arrears has dropped by 36%. Since January of 2025, we’ve collected an additional $1.2 million in back dues. APFA is also actively enforcing the provisions outlined in Section 35 of the CBA to recover unpaid dues—specifically 35.F (Delinquent Dues Procedures) and 35.G (Discharge for Non-Payment of Dues). Flight Attendant terminations for unwillingness to become dues current have begun.
  • Transparency: Where Your Money is Spent: You asked for more transparency on where your monthly dues are allocated. We’ve broken down specifics on where your money is spent here.

Where is the best place to offer additional feedback in addition to the current survey?

The current survey focuses more on future services you would like to see available from your Union. Your Base and National Leadership continue to compile your feedback through emails and face-to-face conversations. If you would like to offer more feedback, please utilize the 2025 Dues Increase formhere.

Where can I find more information on the 2025 dues increase?

This is your Union—and it must be financially strong not just for today’s fights, but for the battles ahead and through future administrations. Management is actively chipping away at the value of our profession, and we cannot afford to stand by under-resourced. A dues increase is essential to ensure APFA has the power to push back, advocate without hesitation, and protect the integrity and future of our Flight Attendant profession.

The vote on a dues increase is expected to open in August 2025, and we want to make sure your priorities are fully represented. Thank you for taking the time to complete the short survey and for continuing to share your feedback with your Union Leadership.
