APFA Calls on CEO Isom to Prioritize 787-9P Safety Over Operational Convenience
Tuesday, July 1, 2025
Today, APFA National President Julie Hedrick sent a formal letter to American Airlines CEO Robert Isom and Vice President of Safety and Regulatory Compliance Cedric Wilson, expressing APFA’s serious concerns regarding the reduction in minimum staffing on the new 787-9P aircraft.
While the reduced minimum crew complement of seven (7) Flight Attendants currently applies only to the 787-9P, there is little reason to believe American Airlines management will limit their minimum staffing cuts to a single aircraft type.
