Standby Callout Report Arrives Today!

In this update, we will cover:

  • 12.Q.10 – Standby Callout Report
  • 12.P.5 ROTD – Notification After RAP Starts

Standby Callout Report (12.Q.10)

Flight Attendants have consistently called for greater Reserve transparency, and today we’re making a significant advancement. Beginning October 1, a new Standby Callout Report will be available after ROTA runs. This report restores Flight Attendant access to Standby information that was readily accessible within Legacy US Airways CATCREW—accessibility that will now be restored for all Flight Attendants. Through your support and solidarity in the recent CBA negotiations, we secured a contractual commitment to greater transparency for Flight Attendants serving Reserve.

The Standby Callout Report report will generate all Reserves in a base on Standby, including the report time, end time, location for co-terminals or bases with Standby in multiple terminals, available number of Reserve days, activity, and RSVCOT (Reserve calling out of time hours).

The Activity column (see image below) will update with:

  • an (S) with a sequence number if the Standby is assigned a sequence,
  • an (R) indicating the Standby’s release time, or
  • a (P) along with the flight number if the Standby is sent to pre-board a flight.

The Activity column will list multiple activities with the most recent activity listed first. If the Standby has too many activities to show, hover over the column to expand and show the activities for the Standby.

Standbys will be listed from earliest report time to latest, which is the order of assignment while on Standby, as sequences go to the earliest report that is legal and available.

The Standby Callout Report will provide increased transparency for Reserves and Lineholders, including:

  • Where a Reserve stands for callout on a specific Standby shift.
  • Flight Attendants will be able to view Standby availability during reschedules to ensure Crew Tracking is following the contractual rescheduling language.
  • The ability for Flight Attendants to see if Standbys are available when requesting to be removed from duty when a flight is delayed more than three (3) hours (CBA 10.J.8).

This is a live report that will update each time you click View Report. Make sure to update to see the latest information, such as any changes to RSVCOT hours, days available, and assigned activity as the day goes on. At the end of the day, this report will be saved and viewable for the month.


Notifications After RAP Starts (12.P.5)

Starting with the October contractual month, Crew Scheduling will no longer call a Reserve on RAP for a ROTD award or assignment if the Reserve has already acknowledged their award or assignment in Crew Portal (CBA 12.P.5).

In addition, Crew Scheduling will no longer call a Flight Attendant if:

  • You have not acknowledged your ROTA award or assignment by 2230 HBT or within an hour of your sequence release time if on a sequence past 2230 HBT. (CBA 12.J.4)
  • You have not acknowledged your ROTD award or assignment at the start of your RAP, an exception being any RAPs that start after 0000 HBT and before 0500 HBT, Crew Scheduling will still be required to call if you have not acknowledged. (CBA 12.P.4) You are required to acknowledge any awards or assignments at the start of a RAP that starts at 0500 HBT or later.

Remember that ECS serves as your receipt of acknowledgement by going to the award/assignment message in the All Messages or ROTA/ROTD inbox and checking the message details.
