11.01.25 – It’s Time to Fall Back: Daylight Saving Time Ends Tomorrow Morning

Daylight Saving Time Ends at 2 AM
Saturday, November 1, 2025

It’s that time of year again to “Fall Back.” Daylight Saving Time ends in the United States as we set our clocks back to standard time at 2 AM tomorrow morning.
Germany was the first country to implement Daylight Saving Time in 1916 during World War I. Today, approximately 70 countries observe this practice. In the United States, Daylight Saving Time began in 1918; however, it is not observed in all fifty states. Hawaii, Arizona (excluding the Navajo Nation), and territories like Puerto Rico and Guam maintain standard time year-round.
The federal “Sunshine Protection Act,” which aims to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, passed the U.S. Senate in 2022 but stalled in the House of Representatives. Currently, the Sunshine Protection Act of 2025 has been introduced in Congress and is under consideration. It has been referred to the appropriate committees for review, but it has not yet been passed into law.
Daylight Saving Time will return on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
