A Message From Your APFA Board of Directors
The APFA Board of Directors is dedicated to prioritizing the interests of the Association and its members. We recognize the concerns and differing opinions within our membership.
On November 19, 2024, we were made aware by the National Officers of a compliance discrepancy related to Section 5.H of the policy manual. In response to this matter, the Board immediately consulted a trusted legal advisor. We understand the need for specific details regarding these findings and are seeking independent legal counsel to investigate the timeline and circumstances involving each Officer and Chair who are subject to comply with the Policy Manual, Section 5.H.
Once we have the necessary information, we continue to commit to holding everyone accountable according to our policies. We acknowledge that, despite the need for accountability, Officers and Chairs, like all Union members, deserve due process.
The Board will not tolerate any intentional abuse of power or trust that could harm the Association and its members. It is essential that we have responsible and reliable leadership as the governing body, and the Constitution explicitly supports this principle.
Once the investigation is completed, any and all findings will be communicated to the Membership.
Members who have additional questions should reach out to their Base Presidents.
In Unity,
APFA Board of Directors
