Contract Implementation Update #17
Specific Red Flag Bidding in TTS and UBL
CBA 10.H.8
Specific Red Flag Bidding in TTS and UBL will be implemented early, beginning on March 18th, 2025. In addition to current Red Flag generic bidding already in effect, you will now have the option to bid for Red Flag Only on specific sequences in TTS and UBL (CBA 10.H.8).
When bidding in TTS or UBL, on the Ballot screen, you will be able to select Red Flag only:
- for your entire ballot.
- for a specific request.
- individual positions within a choice.
By selecting any of these options, you are indicating that you will ONLY accept this position and/or sequence if it is Red Flag.

Example 1: TTS Pickup- Red Flag Only

Example 2: TTS Trade- Red Flag Only
If the sequence is not Red Flag at the time of the TTS or UBL run, you will not receive the sequence, and the reason for the denial will show under the Resultsin the Run History for your ballot. Additionally, if this was a TTS trade that would not be eligible to trade into Red Flag due to the sequence overlap (CBA 10.H.7), the trade will be denied with the Result explaining the award would not have retained the Red Flag pay.
Example 3: TTS Trade Denial- Overlapping Sequences

We hope that this will provide additional flexibility and clarity in TTS and UBL.
