6.03.26 – Turbulence Safety Reminders

Turbulence Safety Reminders
Wednesday, June 3, 2026
As we enter the busy summer travel season, Flight Attendants can expect an increase in thunderstorms, convective weather, and turbulence. While delivering excellent service remains important, your safety must always come first. Remaining vigilant, following established procedures, and securing yourself at the first indication of turbulence can help prevent injuries and protect everyone on board.
This resource includes important information on:
- Unexpected Turbulence Procedures
- Levels of Turbulence
- Important Safety Reminders
- Injury Reporting and Post-Incident Guidance
Remember: No service item, passenger request, or operational task is more important than your personal safety. If turbulence is encountered or anticipated, take immediate action to secure yourself and comply with all flight deck instructions.
Service can always resume when conditions improve. An injury cannot be undone. If directed to take your jumpseat or remain seated, do so immediately and remain seated until advised otherwise.
When faced with a choice between completing a task and protecting your safety, choose safety every time.
In Solidarity,
