ECS Sick Update

You may now use the Electronic Communication System (ECS) to report sick for a sequence any time before your originating flight actually departs.

Up until today, you could not use ECS to report sick within 3 hours (or 4 hours for co-terminal bases) prior to origination. As long as your originating flight has NOT actually departed yet, you can report sick using ECS.

Once your originating flight has departed, or you are mid-sequence, you will need to call Crew Tracking to report sick.

If you have reported for a Standby assignment, you would use ECS to report sick using the date range option. If you are assigned a sequence from Standby and need to report sick, you will use ECS up until the departure of the originating flight.

How to Report Sick

In ECS, go to Contact AA  > Report Sick.
