4.30.26 – APFA National Departments Budget Update & Operating Hours

APFA National Departments
Budget Update & Operating Hours
Thursday, April 30, 2026
Effective Friday, May 1, 2026, reductions to certain APFA National Department operating hours and staffing will be implemented.
Under the Fiscal Year 2026 – 2027 budget approved by your Base Presidents, most reductions were absorbed at Headquarters, including National Departments, Committees, and Specialist budgets. The largest impact was on National Departments, necessitating the following changes.

What to Expect
With reduced staffing and revised operating hours across several National Departments, Members may experience longer response/wait times and more limited representative availability. While Headquarters and National Departments will continue to provide support, you may need to reach out to your Base Representatives for more timely assistance with certain questions or concerns.
