Response Program (CIRP)
Tuesday, March 12, 2024
As Flight Attendants, we all play a vital role as first responders. Both your safety and well-being are of the utmost importance both to APFA and to the APFA EAP committee.
Either on or off the aircraft, distressful emotions might trigger following a critical incident, which is a very natural response when confronted by an abnormal event.
APFA EAP Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP) offers confidential crisis intervention to assist you in the aftermath of a critical incident or workplace trauma. APFA EAP/CIRP consists of trained APFA EAP volunteers to support you.
Key Features of the Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP):
- Confidential Assistance: 1 (833) 214-2002 confidential helpline is available 7 days a week. This helpline provides support whenever you need support.
- Trauma-Informed Care: APFA EAP understands all the unique challenges faced by Flight Attendants, with each individual Flight Attendant situation approached with care, empathy, and understanding.
- Peer Support: The APFA EAP CIRP peer representatives are trained APFA EAP committee members who volunteer their time to assist their fellow APFA Flight Attendants during the most challenging of times.
Should you experience a personal or professional crisis, please reach out to the APFA EAP committee for a confidential conversation.
Remember, you are not alone. APFA EAP are Flight Attendants helping Flight Attendants.
In Solidarity,
Your APFA EAP Committee
