The Presidential Grievance on the 2020 staffing reductions has been denied. The award from the arbitrator may be found here. The arbitrator sided with the company to uphold the company’s staffing changes.

12.30.24 – Contract Implementation Update #12: Implementation Timeline Updates

Following Date of Signing (October 1st, 2024) the Contract Implementation Committee (CIC) has been meeting every week with the company. When the Implementation Timeline Letter of Agreement was signed, six items were identified as having significant complexity

It has been a devastating week for the aviation industry. On December 25th, Azerbaijan Airlines flight 8243 crashed in Kazakhstan. The E190 aircraft was carrying 67 passengers when it crashed outside the city of Aktau.

Following an incident last night on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX-9 where the emergency exit door panel blew outward from the aircraft shortly after take-off, the FAA has ordered the grounding of several Boeing 737 MAX-9 configurations for investigation.
