Contract Implementation Update #22:
ECS (Electronic Communication System)

It’s time to register for ECS (Electronic Communication System).

This is a new two-way communication system between flight attendants and Crew Scheduling, Crew Tracking and Hotel/Limo Desk. Later this year, this will be the system implementing CBA Section 10.W.

Release 1 is Now Live:

As ECS rolls out, ONE messaging will be phased out.

The optional ONE messages you’re used to will now be delivered through ECS.

Phase one of this release is signing up for notifications and how you would like to receive them. You can set your preferences to deliver messages and alerts by email, text message to a personal device, or a phone call. In mid-May, when ONE messages are sunset, ECS messages will begin.

ECS: FAQs

Q1: Will ECS messages replace first party contact? 

ECS will not replace first party contact. (CBA 10.W.4) 
Q2: What if I do not want to carry my EFB with me or download the ECS app to my personal cell phone to get alerts? 

You can update your message setup in ECS to forward SMS text, a phone call, or email in addition to the ECS inbox to receive notifications on your personal device without needing the app itself on your device. 

Q3: Will there be a record of all communications between me and the company? Will I have access to those communications? 

Yes. There will be time stamped message threads for each communication you have with Scheduling, Tracking or Hotel/Limo Desk. Messages will be stored for no less than 90 days (CBA 10.W.3).
