- Updates to Tracking Boarding Pay
- Sit Rig Pay
Updates to Tracking Boarding Pay
While the company continues development on the tool to allow Flight Attendants to track their boarding pay, an interim solution has been developed.
On or around May 13th, you will receive a breakdown to your AA email of your boarding events in April. The breakdown will appear as follows:

The total boarding pay minutes for the contractual month are what you will see on your HI2 on the BOARDING line item on the 28th of the month:
Sit Rig Pay
April 1st was the introduction date for sit rig pay. All time earned for April will now show up on your mid-May pay-stub and HI2. Click here for more information on sit rig pay.
Sit rig pay is a pay component designed to compensate you for extended sits between flights. Sit time starts once you arrive at the gate and ends when you depart or are released from your sequence. Once this sit time surpasses 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will be paid 1 minute of flight time for every 2 minutes of sit time that exceeds 2 hours and 30 minutes.
For Lineholders, on your April HI2, you will see the line item SIT TIME. This value will reflect in the PPROJ of your HI2 header (see image below).
For Reserves on days off, you will see the line item ABVG SIT. This value will not reflect in your PPROJ and is paid above your Reserve guarantee.
For Reserves on a Reserve Day, the company is applying that sit rig time to PPROJ towards Reserve guarantee and contractually that should be pay no credit (above guarantee). APFA does not agree with how this is being paid, and this is a dispute that we are working to resolve.
For sit rig pay discrepancies, please file a Direct Connect.
