As summer takes off, so does one of the busiest seasons for all of us. June is a reminder that even through long days, full flights, and constant movement, we are strongest when we move together. Let this month be about unity, support, and taking pride in the work we do.

We are here to support you through the easy and not-so-easy times. Remember to use the resources available to us. Try not to let stressors pile up, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Summer can be a fun season, but also a demanding one, so know that you are never alone.

• Being Dues Current is incredibly important as a union member. Often, flight attendants do not know they are in Dues Arrears. Those in Dues Arrears “Bad Standing” are ineligible to vote, unable to attend APFA events, and beginning this fall, will be unable to access the members-only section of the APFA website. This June, am starting a campaign to make LAX the lowest Dues Arrears Base. To find out more information about the Dues Department click HERE! • IMPORTANT! ROTA/ROTD Acknowledgement Receipts in ECS: When you acknowledge a reserve assignment in Crew Portal, a receipt of the acknowledgement is recorded in ECS. Learn More HERE!
• Rescheduling notifications are now live in ECS for: Disrupted after report but prior to origination (10.J.3.d) and Disrupted after origination (10.J.4.c). Learn more HERE!
• APFA National Departments Budget Update & Operating Hours: Effective Friday, May 1, 2026, reductions to certain APFA National Department operating hours and staffing will be implemented. Learn more HERE!
• Starting April 1, 2026, changes imposed by American Airlines Inflight management to the Flight Attendant Continuing Qualification (CQ) program sharply reduced any margin for error. Learn more HERE!
• One of the best Reserve improvements in the CBA has been the implementation of 11.G. – Standby Reserve Duty Limitations. Learn more HERE!
• One of the biggest enhancements for Reserves has arrived. As of March 20, 2026, Reserves can now submit TTS ballots for sequences on scheduled days off! Find out more HERE!
