About APFA EAP
APFA Employee Assistance Program provides a safe and confidential resource for members of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants. APFA EAP is made up of active American Airlines Flight Attendants trained in EAP peer support services and volunteer their time to help their peer Flight Attendants and their families 24 hours, 7 days a week.

APFA EAP Peer Committee
APFA Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will consist of Flight Attendants volunteering their time to provide support for Flight Attendants and their family members, offering confidential assistance with personal and work-related concerns. Members of the APFA EAP will provide services offering emotional support, referral information, assistance with conflict resolution, and support following a traumatic event, both on and off the job.

Earlier today, Endeavor Air/ Delta Connection Flight 4819 was involved in an incident upon landing in Toronto. There were no fatalities, and the AFA-CWA represented Flight Attendants successfully evacuated all 80 passengers.

Employee Assistance Program
APFA's EAP program provides emotional support and assistance to Flight Attendants and their families. APFA Employee Assistance Program can offer Flight Attendant peer support in addition to assessments and referrals. APFA EAP understands that mental health issues can affect anyone at any time, occur in almost every family and workplace, and can adversely impact your quality of work and home life. If you, or someone you know suffers from a mental health concern we can help you find the resources you need.
Your APFA EAP can assist with finding resources for: Anxiety, Finding a Counselor, Coping/Stress, Depression, DOT Testing Concerns, Eating Disorders, Gambling, Grief, Health Concerns, Mental Health, Emotional Distress, Job Loss/Unemployment, Substance Abuse Information, and Trauma
Flight Attendant Drug and Alcohol Program (FADAP)
FADAP is a substance-abuse prevention program, created and promoted for and by the flight attendant profession and funded by the FAA. Throughout FADAP site you will find stigma free information on substance use, abuse and dependence.

Professional Standards
APFA's Professional Standards operates as a self-help aid among flying partners by providing conflict resolution strategies to those in need. Flight Attendants are encouraged to contact the APFA Employee Assistance Program to resolve conflict rather than requesting action from management. Critical Incident Response Program
Provides a range of crisis intervention strategies in the aftermath of a critical incident or workplace trauma. As Flight Attendants, we are “First Responders” and your wellbeing is our first priority. A traumatic event in the workplace can provoke distressful emotions, which is a normal reaction to an abnormal event.
The Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP) is available for confidential help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are Flight Attendants assisting Flight Attendants.
