One of the open issues in negotiations is the commuter policy. While we have secured some improvements, we still have not reached agreement. With all the base closings and reductions, many Flight Attendants are forced to commute, and management needs to hear from all Flight Attendants that we deserve an improved commuter policy.

In the International Section, the Company is proposing to be able to reduce IPD rest down to ten hours in actual operations. The negotiations last week focused on finalizing sections of the contract, which were open when negotiations were paused at the start of the global pandemic. One of the major discussions was Section 6, Crew Accommodations, particularly the severe problems of the company failing to provide hotels promptly in the case of rescheduling or cancellation. The Negotiating Committee has been meeting weekly since then to prepare for a return to the bargaining table. We have been working on sections of the Agreement that were under active negotiations last year. We have secured bargaining dates with the Company through the end of the year.
