The Primary Round of Vacation Bidding opened today, January 27 at 12:00 PM (CT). The Primary Round of Vacation Bidding will close on Wednesday, February 26 at 12:00 PM (CT).

1.24.25 – Letters of Agreement: California Wildfires and DFW Weather Event

Today, APFA National President Julie Hedrick signed two Letters of Agreement (LOA). The first LOA addresses LAX-based Flight Attendants and those commuters from the area affected by the devastating wildfires.

Coverage Needed (CN) is a term applied to any day in a bid month when not enough Flight Attendants bid in PBS to fly on that day. PBS will award as many Flight Attendants as possible to be off on a particular day.

1.17.25 – 2025-26 Annual Vacation Buyback Awarded

In accordance with 2024 CBA Section 8.F., Flight Attendants have the option to buyback a portion or all vacation days accrued during 2024 (carryover days are excluded).

1.08.25 – Rescheduling Reminders: Winter Storm Cora | Training Cancelled Jan. 8 – 10

A major winter storm is expected to blanket parts of the South with snow and ice in the coming days. This weather event may lead to increased commuting and travel difficulties from Texas to the Carolinas and Virginia, impacting cities such as Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta, among others.

Early this morning, a suspect drove a pickup truck around barricades and through a crowd of holiday revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. As of this writing, 10 people were killed and dozens more injured.

7.10.26 – CMAP Expands to DFW and ORD on July 12th

The Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Crewmember Access Point (CMAP) program will continue its phased rollout beginning the week of July 12th, with DFW and ORD joining the growing list of participating airports.

7.08.26 – ROTA/ROTD Acknowledgement Receipts in ECS

We continue to receive reports of reserve acknowledgement issues. In some cases, Reserve Flight Attendants are properly acknowledging assignments in Crew Portal, but are later assessed a missed trip because the acknowledgement was not successfully recorded.

7.07.26 – NASEM: Flight Crewmember Radiation Exposure Requires FAA Action

A new congressionally mandated report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) confirms what APFA Flight Attendants have long known: radiation exposure is an occupational hazard that deserves stronger oversight and protection.
