You may now use the Electronic Communication System (ECS) to report sick for a sequence any time before your originating flight actually departs. Up until today, you could not use ECS to report sick within 3 hours (or 4 hours for co-terminal bases) prior to origination.

12.03.25 – Reserve Acknowledgement Issues: LOA to Remove TMs for Impacted Reserves

APFA has secured a Letter of Agreement (LOA) related to the reserve acknowledgment issues. The issues occurred from October 1st through November 18th, 2025, and were resolved by November 19th, 2025.

APFA continues to engage with lawmakers to emphasize the serious safety risks associated with FAA-approved minimum crew levels that do not require a Flight Attendant at every widebody emergency exit door.

We were just notified that a required software update for the Airbus 319/320/321 fleet will begin today. The update is expected to take about two hours for most aircraft; however, some aircraft may need to be removed from service to complete the fix.
