The 2024 CBA updated the commuter policy (CBA 37.I) effective October 2024 to the following: Expanded the First Flight qualifiers to include Sufficient Seats (load factor less than 90%) within 24 hours prior to departure.

We mourn the lives lost in the tragic collision involving PSA / American Eagle Flight 5342 and a military helicopter while landing at Washington National Airport on January 29, 2025. Sixty passengers, four crew members, and all three aboard the helicopter lost their lives.
Due to the company’s failure to repair sequences and secure hotel rooms within the contractual guidelines of three (3) hours, APFA has forced the company to find alternatives to booking hotel rooms sooner, even if the sequence has still failed continuity.

This weekend, and into today, Flight Attendants are still waiting for hours to reach Crew Tracking to have sequences repaired. Once sequences are repaired, crews are waiting even longer for hotel and ground transportation assignments, some without hotel assignments at all.
Incentive Day: Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Per section 3.K.2 of our contract, the company has designated Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as an Incentive Day. What does this mean?

If you experience a disruption that removes flying from your sequence due to a delay or cancellation, the company must first “fix” or “repair” the sequence. Until the sequence is repaired, your HI3 may show “Sequence Failed Continuity”.

One month has passed since the implementation of the revised descent procedures, and we wanted to take a moment to revisit why these changes were made and why they remain so important. These procedures were not created simply to change the way we work.
