5.30.25 – CJ Denial for Mainline Weight-Restricted Flights When Priority List Processed Out of Order
We have received reports that Flight Attendants are being denied access to the jumpseat (CJ) on weight-restricted Mainline flights because the standby list is not being cleared in the correct priority order.
Update: 2025-2026 CQ Module Length – Earlier this year, Flight Attendants began reporting that the 2025-2026 CQ web-based training (WBT) modules exceed the contractual limit for distance learning.
A company communication on May 21st stated that position 10 on extended long-range flights on the 777-200, 787-8, and 787-9 would move from main cabin to business class effective June 2nd.

New Properties to Bid Speaker Pairings – When bidding for June, you will now have the ability to bid using the property Prefer Language (CBA 10.D.13.d.#15). This new property will allow you to bid for pairings requiring a specific language.
While the company continues development on the tool to allow Flight Attendants to track their boarding pay, an interim solution has been developed. On or around May 13th, you will receive a breakdown to your AA email of your boarding events in April.
It is that time of year again! June is officially Pride month and is celebrated throughout the country with parades in various cities. This year, the APFA Human Rights Coalition will be participating in parades in five bases.

For the May contractual month, CBA Section 12.K.1.g has been implemented early (targeted for DOS + 12 months). CBA 12.K.1.g details the order of award/assignment in Daily (ROTD) processing for a sequence legal for multiple RAPs.
The 2025-2026 vacation year begins tomorrow, May 2nd. In accordance with CBA Section 8.B.1., there is a change in how vacation hours are paid: Flight Attendants with a block of seven (7) or more consecutive vacation days will be paid and credited at four (4) hours
